Whisky Advocate 92 Points - 7 year old whiskey (an unspecified “corn, rye, and malted barley” mashbill “distilled in Indiana”) aged in used barrels. Maple syrup, well-browned popovers, and Canada mint lozenges in a boozy-hot nose. Richly sweet on the palate: pastry dough, hints of anise, buttery and slightly-burnt cornbread, syrupy dark fruits: complex, rich, delicious. Water brings out more of the dough and tames the heat. Delicious, unique, intriguing. Sourced whiskey.
Distilled in Indiana and Tennessee - 120.6 proof cask strength bottling - Aged for 11 years
Caramelized pineapple, rich warm coconut milk and nutmeg give way to steaming spice stone fruit compote and raw cacao. The 120.6 proof beguiles with faint whiffs of Caribbean forest and complex aromatics like cardamom, clove, and kaffir lime. Vanilla paste mingles with puffs of cinnamon swirled sweet butter atop crunchy sourdough toast.
