Amrut Greedy Angels Chairman's Reserve 10 Year Single Malt Whisky - Batch 01, Bottles 24+30/36
Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible, 96 Points – […] bewitched and mesmerized, one of the most remarkable whiskies of all time.
Bottled in September 2014, first ever 10-year-old single malt to come out of India, Amrut Greedy Angels Chairman's Reserve, is a rare and special bottling to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Amrut Single Malt Whisky in the global market. Due to the high heat and humidity in India, Maturation is that little bit more difficult. In Scotland our "Angel Share" would be 1 - 2% were as in India it would be closer to 10 - 12%. As you can imagine after 10 years of maturation there would not be a great deal of whisky left for bottling. Only 320 bottles were produced making these very rare. The specially designed package consists of a 750 ml crystal decanter bottled at 46% ABV and a 50 ml miniature decanter bottled at full cask strength of 71% ABV.
